Laura Pieslewicz brings three decades of frontline emergency medical and fire service experience to her role as Owner of Outwest EMS. She began her career as an EMT in 1996 and has served communities across Arizona and beyond in 911 response, interfacility transport, large-scale disaster deployments, wildfire recovery, special event standby operations, and public health emergency initiatives.
Laura holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her academic background strengthens her operational expertise, giving her a deep understanding of incident command, risk mitigation, disaster planning, and large-scale event safety coordination.
Throughout her career, Laura has accumulated over 27 years of prehospital medical and fire response experience, supporting municipal fire environments, private EMS systems, FEMA deployments, and large-scale Points of Dispensing (POD) operations. She has supported wildfire recovery efforts, hurricane response operations, pandemic testing and vaccination initiatives, and complex multi-agency coordination efforts.
Laura has spent over 17 years as an EMS educator and faculty member, teaching Emergency Medical Technology, Fire Science, Emergency Management, and Ambulance Operations. She has mentored hundreds of EMT students who now serve across Arizona and beyond. Additionally, she is certified in Critical Incident Stress peer support and suicide prevention through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).
Aaron Brown is a Firefighter/EMT with extensive experience in event medical stand-by services and prehospital emergency care. He has provided medical coverage for large public events, sporting venues, and special operations, delivering prompt, professional care in fast-paced and high-risk environments. Aaron is known for his ability to remain calm under pressure while prioritizing patient safety, situational awareness, and clear communication.
Throughout his career, Aaron has supported event operations as both a field provider and lead EMT, working closely with event staff, venue security, fire departments, and law enforcement to ensure coordinated and effective emergency response. His experience includes overseeing medical operations at live events, mentoring junior EMTs and students, and assisting with event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless medical coverage from start to finish.
In addition to his field experience, Aaron brings a strong background in safety operations, equipment readiness, and compliance. He has conducted routine inspections of emergency medical equipment, supported safety audits, and helped develop policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards. With a patient-focused mindset and a strong understanding of event dynamics, Aaron is committed to providing reliable, professional medical support that enhances safety for event organizers, staff, and attendees alike.
